The Time is Now

It’s time to make a plan to vote in Wyoming’s primary election. You can’t wait until November. In most races, the primary will decide who represents you. Step up. Take responsibility. Make an informed choice, and make your voice heard.

As this campaign comes to a close, I find myself thinking about one simple phrase: getting our hands on the work.

That’s still the best way I know to explain why I decided to run for the Wyoming House of Representatives.

I didn’t run because I needed another title. I ran because I love Wyoming, I believe deeply in the people who call it home, and I believe public service should be about rolling up your sleeves and getting to work.

As a fifth-generation Wyomingite, I’ve been blessed to grow up in a place where hard work still matters and neighbors still help neighbors. Those aren’t just traditions, they are who we are, and they’re values worth protecting for the generations who come after us.

My years as an audiologist and small-business owner have taught me something I believe is missing from too much of today’s politics: listen first.

Listening is my profession. I’ve learned that you can’t help someone hear unless you’re willing to listen to them first. As your representative, I will listen to the people of House District 50, study the issues carefully, ask hard questions, and work toward practical, conservative solutions.

During this campaign, I’ve had the privilege of talking with people across our community. I’ve heard concerns about our schools, healthcare, property taxes, the economy, agriculture, energy, public lands, and the growing challenge of raising a family in Wyoming.

Despite those different concerns, I’ve heard a common theme.

We want our children and grandchildren to have opportunities here at home. We want safe communities, excellent schools, responsible government, and an economy where people can build businesses, find good jobs, and provide for their families. We want to preserve the land, the freedoms, and the traditions that make Wyoming unlike anywhere else. And we want elected officials who remember that government exists to serve the people, not the other way around. We want our Wyoming to remain Wyoming.

Home grown leadership is what I intend to provide.

I won’t go to Cheyenne to represent a political organization, a caucus, or a special interest. I’ll go to represent you.

I’m grateful for every conversation, handshake, phone call, email, and word of encouragement I’ve received throughout this campaign. I’m grateful for those who challenged my thinking as much as those who supported me. And I’m especially grateful to my family and friends, whose encouragement has carried me every step of the way.

Running for office has reminded me that representing others is both an honor and a tremendous responsibility. It’s not about having the loudest voice in the room. It’s about having the discipline to listen, the judgment to stand firm when it matters, and the humility to recognize a better idea when you hear one.

That’s the representative I hope to be.

Wyoming has given my family so much: opportunity, freedom, community, and a place worth calling home. I want to do my part to ensure those same blessings are available to the next generation.

So as Election Day approaches, I’m asking for your vote, not because I have all the answers, but because I’m committed to listening first and then getting to work.

I’ll bring the experience of a family who has been here for generations. The perspective of a child and student lucky enough to grow up and graduate here. The knowledge small-business owner who’s career is helping people listen. I’ll bring the conservative values I was raised with. Above all, I’ll bring a willingness to roll up my sleeves and do the work.

House District 50 deserves an authentic conservative representative who will listen to you, work for you, and answer to you.

I’m ready to get my hands on the work.
