The City of Cody owns and maintains the Belfry Bridge Boat Ramp Recreation Area and associated amenities. This area is a popular location for fishermen, river users including rafters and kayakers, and hikers. The site has seen increased use over the past several years, and as a result, the existing facilities have been identified for improvements.

The City has received grant funding from Wyoming Game and Fish for the design of improvements to the boat ramp, parking lot, rest rooms, and other amenities. Morrison-Maierle in Cody, Wyoming, has been selected as the engineering consultant for the project, and is moving forward with preliminary design at this time. The current design scope includes survey, preliminary design and cost estimating, environmental assessments, floodplain analysis, public outreach and input, and completion of all design documentation needed for construction. Improvements will likely include a new boat ramp, new restrooms, parking lot improvements to accommodate passenger vehicles, busses and boat trailers, ADA access to existing picnic shelters, river eddies for fishing and boat launching, additional informational signage, lighting, and access road repairs.

The City of Cody is applying for construction funding from state and federal grants. Construction could begin in late 2027 or early 2028. The City is seeking public input on the project through a community survey. Everyone is encouraged to participate by scanning the QR code, clicking the link below, or completing the survey in person at City Hall.

FUNDRAISERS & RAFFLES

Our Wyo Dough family needs us. ❤️ Adam Rickard, our General Manager, and Angel recently welcomed baby Damian into the world. Due to unexpected health complications, they were flown out of state for specialized care. As you can imagine, medical and travel expenses add up quickly. We’re asking our community to come together and help support the Rickard family. Guests can donate and round up their bill anytime, and join us February 24th for a special Trivia Night Fundraiser.
💛 $1 from every Cody Craft Brewing pint sold
💛 $2 from every Wyo Dough pizza sold
will be donated to help cover medical and travel expenses. Donations are also welcome. Let’s show Adam, Angel, and baby Damon what community is all about. ❤️

Jake Graham was life flighted to Denver Hospital late last night to remove a large brain tumor. Jake grew up in Cody and was a 2008 graduate of CHS and graduate of NWC. Most locals knew Jake from his many years working at Big Horn Cinemas. A faithful Man of God, a son, husband, and father of 3 children young children. Jake always lent a hand to help people in need. We are humbly asking for the support of our community, family and friends to help Jake and his family while they navigate through these uncertain times. Jake will have a long recovery road ahead. Please help if you are able. Prayers and financial blessings would be greatly appreciated and much needed.

At the Chamberlin Inn, we believe in the power of a story told through song. We’re expanding our Songwriter Sunday series and are looking for unique, local artists to join our lineup for 2026. While we love a good cover, our focus for this series is on original composition. We are seeking artists who offer something fresh and distinct—perfect for the intimate, curated atmosphere of our historic lounge and conservatory. This is not just another gig; it’s an opportunity to connect with an audience that truly listens. If your sound fits this description, please email Kristie with a sample of your work to [email protected].
We can’t wait to hear your story.
