Browsing through the selections in the shop, it’s hard to believe they were all created by one craftsman. You’ll find a case full of turquoise, another of lapis, then mother of pearl, Australian opal, diamond, sapphire, and other unique materials. One side has cases with gold settings and the other silver. The production capacity of Ferris Mufleh, the owner, craftsman, and designer, hits you, and you understand you are in a truly unique jewelry store.

The studio is well known for its custom work, where clients can collaborate directly with him to create limitless one-of-a-kind pieces. From engagement rings to heirloom redesigns, each item is made on-site in this cozy community, allowing for a deep level of personalization and quality control that sets his business apart.

How it Began

Working at a jewelry gallery in New Mexico, he became interested in the craft and ended up taking a short class on Silver Smithing with Bob Hazel. Ferris’ attention to detail caught Bob’s attention, and he suggested that Ferris pursue it as a career to reach the potential seen in that early class.

Taking his advice, Ferris pursued formal training through the American Jeweler Association in Oregon, where he learned the craft and the business. He also studied at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Over the years, he has developed a design style that blends precision, artistry, and a deep respect for natural materials.

Driving through Cody, he loved the history, Americana, and patriotism he found here, making it his home.

Custom Work

While all the pieces in the shop are for sale, Ferris creates many custom pieces because of his skills from design to production and a full studio that allows him to take a piece from concept to wearable art.

This combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern, state-of-the-art tools makes him unique in this industry. You literally can have anything you want. Thanks to his complete in-house studio, he utilizes advanced 3D design software and high-resolution printing technology, along with hand-finishing techniques. This allows for highly detailed designs, faster prototyping, and a seamless transition from concept to final piece.

“Being able to design, print, cast, and finish everything in one place gives us complete control,” said Ferris. “It ensures every piece meets our standard before it ever reaches the customer. We don’t just sell jewelry-we create it here, from the first idea to the final finish; everything is done in our studio.”

The Process

He regularly travels to purchase raw stones that sit next to a workbench, waiting to be shaped by him for the final owner.

“Working with raw stones gives me more flexibility. I love the surprises that come as a stone reveals itself to me. There is something to the power of stones,” says Ferris.

He also purchases cut stones. On a recent trip, he picked up a velvet pink natural sapphire that is waiting for a setting. He purchased this stone for its beauty, and the final piece will be available at the store.

Each piece is crafted with attention to both durability and aesthetics, resulting in jewelry meant to be worn and appreciated for years. He strives to provide high-level service that creates an elevated experience just as valuable as the finished product.

“It’s not like walking into a typical store,” said one client. “You’re part of the process. You see your piece come to life, and that makes it even more meaningful.”

One recent project has been a collaboration with Scott Wayne, who creates high-end custom cowboy boots at the Irma’s Emporium. For the pair of boots sitting on the bench, Ferris was crafting silver and gold toe caps to add to Wayne’s creations.

Award Winning Designs

His work has received national recognition, including being named Best Ring by Instore Magazine in 2025, further establishing him as an award-winning jewelry designer. He is the first Wyoming designer to win an award from this prestigious industry magazine. You also may have seen his exquisite designs in the Cowboys & Indians magazines.
