A Letter to the Voters of House District 24

Representation is not complicated, but it is serious.

When the people of House District 24 send someone to Cheyenne, that person has one job: to represent the people of our district. Not a national movement; not an outside agenda; not an ideology decided somewhere else. The job is to listen, study the issues, understand the consequences, and do the work on behalf of Park County and the State of Wyoming.

I believe elected officials should be grounded in the communities they serve. Decisions made in Cheyenne affect real people here at home: working families, seniors, business owners, farmers, ranchers, teachers, law enforcement, emergency services and the next generation we are raising in Wyoming.

The best way to represent people is to know them. That means showing up, working alongside the people you serve to benefit our community, and listening to the issues they care about and understand deeply. I have done just that for years through board service, volunteer work, and community involvement, not because I was running for office, but because I care about our home.

Park County is full of hardworking, thoughtful people with real experience and a genuine passion for the future of this place. A good representative should seek out those voices, respect them, and carry them into the legislative process.

Good representation requires more than simply voting. It means digging into the details of legislation before it comes to the floor. It means asking hard questions, listening to the people who will be affected, and working with other members to pass meaningful bills that make life better for the people we serve. It also means understanding that even well-intended legislation can create unintended consequences and doing the work to prevent those consequences before they negatively impact our community.

Park County deserves a representative who studies the issues, respects local voices, and is willing to do the hard, often quiet work required. Real representation is about being prepared, being accountable, and making decisions with the good of our community in mind.

A good representative will care more about getting it right than proving they are right.

If I earn the honor to represent the hardworking people of House District 24 in the Wyoming House of Representatives, I pledge to take that responsibility seriously.

I will listen to the people of this district. I will seek out information before making decisions. I will work with others when it benefits Park County and Wyoming. I will build coalitions when good policy requires it. I will stand firm when our rights, our property, our public lands, our families, and our Wyoming way of life need protection.

My commitment is simple: I will do my best to represent you honestly, thoughtfully, and with the seriousness the job deserves.

House District 24 deserves a representative who shows up, listens, studies the issues, and puts the people of this district first. That is the kind of representative I intend to be.
