David Hill Announces Campaign for Wyoming House District 50
CODY, WY — David Hill announced today that he is running for the Wyoming House of Representatives in District 50, following strong encouragement from conservative community members across Park County.
David said his decision comes after conversations with residents from throughout the district who share a commitment to Wyoming’s values and a desire for leadership focused on results, accountability, and representing the district well.
“Over the past several weeks, I’ve heard from people across Park County who want to see steady, effective leadership that reflects our values and keeps the focus on getting things done,” David said. “That’s what led me to step forward and run.”
David enters the race with a vision centered on limited government, local control, and a strong Wyoming economy, grounded in conservative principles and a focus on the long-term future of the state.
“I believe in common-sense principles—government should be accountable, efficient, and focused on its core responsibilities,” David said. “Decisions should be made as close to the people as possible, and we need to continue supporting the businesses, agriculture, and industries that drive our local economy. Just as importantly, we need to be thinking about the future—about the kind of Wyoming we are creating for our children and future generations. Wyoming needs more statesmen and fewer politicians, and I’m running to do the job the right way.”
David is a local attorney and serves as President of the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce. He has worked with the U.S. Attorney’s Offices for Wyoming and Washington, D.C., as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He also served for five years as a drug court judge. David has been recognized for his professional and community leadership, including being named to the National Trial Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40,” Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch,” and was selected as a Wyoming Chamber of Commerce “Forty Under 40” honoree.
In addition to his professional work, David has been active in the community, serving on the boards of the Park County Leadership Institute, Park County Sheriff’s Office Charitable Foundation, Bright Futures Mentoring, the Northwest College Foundation, and Little Explorers Preschool. He has also coached Cody Little League Baseball and youth flag football.
“This campaign is about making sure District 50 has a strong, conservative voice that is grounded in our values, focused on results, and thinking about the future of our communities,” David said. “I promise to listen to my constituents, work hard for them, and I will do my best to make them proud.”
David lives in Cody with his family and will be announcing additional endorsements and campaign events in the coming weeks.
