What is your vision for Wyoming/Park County/Cody?
Serving as your Park County Attorney would be a humbling honor and I look forward to the opportunity to represent, counsel, and prosecute on behalf of Park County citizens. The County Attorney’s office is not about politics—it is about serving our community, seeking justice, and ensuring that every decision is guided by integrity, fairness, and the rule of law, guided always by the Constitution of the United States and the Wyoming Constitution. All persons I have met during this campaign and during my time as one of your Deputy County Attorneys can affirm that I am open, accessible, and straightforward. I intend to carry that forward if I am elected.
I have been a Wyoming lawyer for 26 years and practiced civil, criminal, and administrative law. I am a dedicated Wyomingite having been here since I was 8 years old. Wyoming will always be my home. I am a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming for both my undergraduate and my law degree. I was raised in a fabulous Wyoming family based in Christian conservative values and those values drive my decisions and actions, always maintaining my integrity. My background in life and career make me an excellent fit for the role of County Attorney.
During my career, I have had the privilege of serving Wyoming communities as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney. Those experiences have given me a unique perspective on our justice system. I have stood on both sides of the courtroom, working with victims and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and advocating for the Constitutional rights that protect every citizen. Those experiences have prepared me to lead the County Attorney’s Office with fairness, sound judgment, and respect for everyone involved.
The County Attorney’s Office cannot succeed in isolation. Strong communities are built through strong partnerships, and I am committed to coalition building throughout Park County. The best outcomes occur when we work together with our law enforcement agencies, the courts, schools, local governments, nonprofit organizations, and the many dedicated professionals who serve our community every day. Park County needs to strengthen relationships with organizations that exist in the community who each play a vital role in protecting vulnerable children, supporting victims, and helping families navigate difficult circumstances. By working together, we can improve communication, coordinate resources more effectively, and better serve those who need our help.
The role of County Attorney requires experience, sound judgment, compassion, and the ability to bring people together. It requires someone who understands the law, respects the Constitution, communicates effectively, and is willing to listen before making difficult decisions. After more than 26 years practicing law in Wyoming as both a prosecutor and civil and criminal defense attorney, I am confident I have the experience, perspective, and leadership necessary to fulfill those responsibilities. The vision I have for the County Attorney’s Office is for it to be known for professionalism, transparency, and collaboration. My goal is to build trust throughout our community by working alongside our partners and always keeping the interests of Park County citizens at the center of every decision.
