Steph’s Kitchen: Where Simple Ingredients Meet Bold Flavors

Oct 10, 2025

Stephanie Hall, co-owner of Steph’s Kitchen with her husband, Chris, creates dishes from scratch using regionally sourced ingredients. She brings a unique, flavorful twist to simple food and is a welcome addition to the Cody dining scene. We had a chance to sit down with Steph to learn more about her and what makes her restaurant’s menu unique in Cody.

Simple Food Packed with Flavor

On the surface, the menu seems typical. There are burgers, soups, sandwiches, salads, and various appetizers. But the common element of them all is flavor. Stephanie adores spices and the multiple ways they combine with simple ingredients to enhance the flavor. It shows as you savor each bite. Her restaurant is more than just a business; it’s a passion to bring tasty and healthy food to the table.

Steph’s Kitchen – the Realization of a Dream

Stephanie has had various experiences in the food industry over the last 30 years. She has worked hard in multiple capacities as a cook, server, bartender, manager, and now restaurant owner. With the opening of Steph’s Kitchen earlier this year, her dream of owning a restaurant has finally come true. She took over the space previously occupied by WyOld West Brewing. The tap wall is still there, and the daily specials include food and beverages. You’ll find Chris there on the weekends pitching in as the host.

Believing in making everything from scratch, you’ll find Steph rising early each day to make homemade fettuccine, making desserts, or anything else needed when they open for lunch. Her mornings even include making homemade sauces and dressings. She sources her ingredients from the region as much as possible to ensure freshness. She goes the extra mile to bring the best possible flavor to each dish.

“I just love to cook! I enjoy seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they eat a delicious home-cooked meal. It warms my heart when guests stay for every course.”

Desserts that Sing with Made-From-Scratch Goodness

Where many restaurants order pre-made desserts, Steph creates them in the kitchen from scratch. She has a talent for a wide range of desserts, including tiramisu, cheesecakes, cannoli, mini-cakes, and more. There’s always a dessert to head back for. Luckily, she often posts her latest sweets on her Facebook page. Enjoy one of her desserts to top off a meal or stop in to see what’s in the fridge to take with you. Ask a bit beforehand, and she can create custom desserts for you.

Other Offerings:

The restaurant offers a full-service bar featuring 10 local and regional craft beers. The house liquor is from Pine Bluff Distillery, another local Wyoming business. Don’t forget the popular Meeteetse Mystic Monks drip coffee on the menu, which customers especially enjoy with dessert. Customers regularly talk about the top-notch meals and service.

Steph’s Kitchen is happy to arrange tables or set aside a section of the restaurant for meetings or larger gatherings.
