September Events on the Horizon
September is already on the horizon. And in Cody, Wyoming, that means we’re coming up on Art Month, culminating in the third week of the month with Rendezvous Royale and other art events. In addition, there are some great fundraisers and other highlight events for the month. Let’s look at what you want to mark your calendars for.
Northwest College Trapper Stampede Rodeo at Stampede Park (the rodeo grounds)

Northwest College’s home rodeo event! Northwest College competes in the Big Sky Region, long recognized as one of the toughest competitive regions in collegiate rodeo. Northwest consistently stays near or at the top of National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association rankings. Events include bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling and team roping. Purchase tickets at the gate.
Home & Outdoor Show in Powell at the Park County Fairgrounds

Get ready for one of the Big Horn Basin’s most exciting community events—the 2025 Home and Outdoor Show.
Whether you’re looking to upgrade your home, add something special to your backyard, or discover new local services and goods, this is the place to be. With over 9,000 attendees from around the Big Horn Basin expected, it’s the perfect place to get inspired and support local businesses.
10th Annual Mustang Rendezvous at the Holiday Inn

Please join Friends of a Legacy for our 10th Annual Mustang Rendezvous fundraiser. The event features a buffet dinner along with silent and live auctions. Funds raised will help support keeping the mustangs of the McCullough Peaks wild and free. Tickets are available at https://friendsofalegacy.org/mustang-rendezvous/, or at the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce.
Friends of a Legacy, (FOAL), a 501c3 nonprofit, advocates for the free-roaming wild horses of the McCullough Peaks and their habitat. Our projects, such as reservoir repairs and fertility control, rely solely on donations and grants. On September 6th, FOAL will host its 10th annual fundraiser, the Mustang Rendezvous. Through the generous support of the community, the fall event produces funds to ensure the herd’s future. We would like to extend an opportunity for you to be part of this success. The event will feature a buffet dinner, cash bar, and silent and live auctions. Money raised will go toward our mission to help protect and preserve the wild horses of the McCullough Peaks.
Farm to Table Dinner Fundraiser in Powell at the Park County Fairgrounds

The Homesteader Museum will be hosting their annual Farm to Table Dinner Fundraiser. The 21 and older outdoor dining experience will start with a no host bar with a signature cocktail and mingling with other guests. The dinner be served after most guests have arrived. Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Build at Trinity Lutheran Church

Join Trinity Lutheran Church for a Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build. All beds will be given to kids in the northern Big Horn Basin area that do not have beds. No experience needed. No tools needed. Just show up and be a part of a truly rewarding experience. Donuts, drinks and pizza provided. This day of HOPE brings community members of all ages to celebrate the caregivers in our community and honor those who we have lost to the disease. This two-and-a-half-day educational workshop provides intermediate to advanced painters personalized instruction and fellowship with returning Buffalo Bill Art Show artist, Michael Ome Untiedt. Workshop includes breakfast, lunch, and instruction. Materials are the responsibility of participant.
