About the Irma Hotel

The Irma Hotel was the first of three hotels built by Buffalo Bill. Pahaska Teepee is another, and the third between the two on the Cody road to Yellowstone, tragically burned. In the late 1920s, local businessmen drew up plans for the Buffalo Bill Hotel, but the hotel never became a reality.

Built in 1902, Buffalo Bill named this “sweetest hotel that ever was” after his daughter, Irma. Since then, it has hosted European nobility, ranchers, and businessmen, as well as tourists needing a home base as they explored Yellowstone. Read more about the history on the Irma’s website.

Today, it continues as the main landmark in town, where people still enjoy it as a place to meet and gather. From weekly get-togethers with friends over breakfast to larger private parties, The Irma can help you with your meeting needs.

Services Offered

The Irma has full catering services to use on-site or off, ranging from minimal delivery to a complete full-service setup. From chairs and tables to dinnerware and flatware, they will make your event shine.

They can also host a bar for your event. The City of Cody requires people to obtain a license to serve alcohol at an event and to work with an establishment holding a current liquor license for anything beyond malt beverages.

In-house, they are happy to work with you on custom menus for larger groups. From buffalo short ribs to stuffed mushrooms, they can provide you and your guests with a deliciously memorable time.

In addition, they have modern AV equipment for presentations, including microphones if needed.
