Trailing the Buffalo: Buffalo Bill & Cedar Mountain

September 27 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
$75

You are invited to check an incredible adventure off your Cody bucket list! Exclusive Tours has teamed up with hiking guide Dave Leo, owner of Hiking Buddy LLC, for a one-of-a-kind history hike to one of the area’s most recognizable—and rarely visited—landmarks: the Buffalo Statue high atop Cedar Mountain. Happening on Sunday, September 27th, this special guided adventure will take you up the mountain while you discover stories of Buffalo Bill, the early days of the community, and the history hidden within the landscape itself.

The ultimate reward awaits at the top, where you can stand beside the iconic Buffalo Statue and take in a spectacular view of the Bighorn Basin and surrounding mountains that few people ever get to experience. Please note that this 9-mile round-trip hike is considered strenuous, featuring approximately 2,500 feet of total elevation gain, and is not recommended for beginner hikers. Along the way, there will be several planned breaks for you to catch your breath, enjoy the breathtaking views, and hear fascinating historical stories from the guides.

The cost is $70 for Buffalo Bill Center of the West members and $75 for non-members. Shared transportation to the trailhead is available, and you will be provided with complimentary trail snacks, water, and hiking poles for the duration of the event.

Registration is strictly required as limited spots are available. To secure your spot, please call or text (307) 254-7073, or email [email protected].
