HMFSC – Inspiration Series Skating Clinic for Beginners with Christine Castillo

Inspiration Series with Coach Christine Castillo
October 2–3, 2026 • Cody, Wyoming

Discover what’s possible on the ice! Join Heart Mountain Figure Skating Club for two days of fun, encouraging instruction for low beginner through high beginner skaters of all ages—including adults. Build confidence, strengthen your skills and explore the creativity that makes skating so rewarding. Activities will be adapted to each participant’s experience and comfort level.

What we’ll explore
• Friday—Foundations & Confidence: Develop balance, stroking, edges and turns, then explore connecting moves such as spirals, lunges and shoot-the-duck progressions.
• Saturday—Movement & Imagination: Bring your skills together through rhythm and flowing movement, introductory spins and jumps, and a short skating sequence set to music.
Each day includes off-ice training and a 90-minute on-ice clinic with a 10-minute break. Attending both days is encouraged so skaters can build on what they learn!

Locations
• Off-ice: LDS Gymnasium, 1719 Wyoming Avenue, Cody
• On-ice: Riley Arena, 1400 Heart Mountain Street, Cody
