Come From Away Musical

Cody Community Theater presents Come From Away, a new musical based on the remarkable true story of September 11, 2001, when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover when 38 planes carrying 7,000 people from around the globe were diverted to Gander’s airstrip as air traffic was grounded for days.

The people of Gander rallied to support, feed, house, and clothe these stranded travelers, cultivating relationships and changing lives forever. The production features a culturally relevant script accompanied by a deeply moving score by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. This globally successful show has earned 37 award nominations, 13 of which resulted in wins.

Disclaimer: This production is rated PG-13 for profanity and some adult themes. Please contact the theater directly for any questions.
