More than 300 pieces of new artwork will be on display for Cody Country Art League’s 60th Annual Community Art Show and Sale which begins with an opening reception Wednesday, May 21st from 5-7pm in the historic building which housed the original Buffalo Bill Museum next to the Cody Visitor’s Center.

Amateur to professional artists from all over, all ages, in all mediums compete for prizes in this spectacular annual community event.

Thanks to generous local sponsorship – businesses and individuals – and support from the Wyoming Arts Council, CCAL is able to award prize money in all categories. We also award coveted prizes for Best of Show, the Shirley Barhaug Emerging Artist Award and People’s Choice as well as several special sponsor awards and the new Spirit of Cody award.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the opening reception and award ceremony. Enjoy live music by Northfork Highway, snacks and refreshments. Vote for your favorite and celebrate our community of artists.

The annual show will hang until June 11. Cody Country Art League is located at 836 Sheridan Avenue, downtown Cody.

Established in 1964 as a nonprofit, the Cody Country Art League is located in the Visitor’s Center on Sheridan Avenue in downtown Cody, Wyoming. The structure is the original Buffalo Bill Museum and is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. The founding members established the art league in order to promote the artistic endeavor among local artists by encouraging exhibits, displays and sales; fostering art education among artists, and the support of art classes to all artists in the community, which was the heart of the movement. Today’s Cody Country Art League is about and dedicated to continuing and furthering their dream.
