Cody Jewelers: Quality Jewelry in the Heart of Downtown

Nov 14, 2025

Cody Jewelers has been a long-standing business in Cody for approximately 50 years. The store was acquired by Kip & Janet Post about five years ago who continue to maintain a high quality of service at this downtown jewelry store.

Kip & Janet view themselves as stewards of this long-standing business and hope to see it continue for many more decades. They were thrilled at the opportunity to acquire Cody Jewelers, adding it to their family of stores. They are familiar with the jewelry business, as this is now their third store, with other locations in Riverton and Pinedale. Each has a signature pendant custom to the store, although all three are available at each location. Riverton has Steamboat, the classic bucking bronc that’s widely regarded as the signature of Wyoming, Pinedale has the moose, and Cody has the buffalo – paying tribute to the original store, The Golden Buffalo, in Riverton.

With great relationships with vendors, they rotate inventory to keep it fresh. That means each time you visit Cody Jewelers, there’s usually something new to see. In addition, they carry exclusive local artist collections including Beartrap Custom Arts by Cody local, Alissa Stewart. She specializes in creating jewelry with silver and elk ivory, and produces many custom pieces.

The current manager, Andrew Umbrianna, focuses on inventory, bringing in new and fresh items that cater to all walks of life. He ensures there’s something for all budgets, from modern pieces that match the latest trends to classic Western styles. By keeping his finger on the pulse of fashion and jewelry trends, he’s able to make sure Cody Jewelers has the perfect accent for any style. He’s also able to help you locate the ideal custom piece.

Celebrate the Season
