Cody Has a New Way to Explore Yellowstone on Two Wheels

Mar 27, 2026

With motorcycle weather starting to show up, know that we have a new way to explore the area by motorcycle: Yellowstone Adventure Moto. Owned and managed by Joe Bacal, a multi-time Baja 1000 class champion and longtime motorcycle enthusiast. The business is ready to ramp it up this year after a soft opening last year.

Joe has been coming to visit family on the South Fork for years and has been here permanently for 4 years. His deep experience with motorcycles has him still working occasionally as a test and stunt driver. In addition, he helps his wife, Teresa, with the family business, JTGrey Unlimited. Plus, their son has a passion for cooking and is a sous chef at Sitti’s Table.

Motorcycle Rentals

When explaining the idea for Yellowstone Adventure Moto, he said, “Most riders want a simple, stress-free way to experience Yellowstone on two wheels,” said Bacal. “Our goal is to make it easy, reliable, and unforgettable.”

Unlike traditional rental operations, Yellowstone Adventure Moto provides free white-glove delivery and pickup within 25 miles of Cody, bringing motorcycles directly to hotels, Airbnbs, lodges, and campgrounds, removing the hassle of transporting personal bikes. The fleet includes Yamaha Ténéré 700 and Kawasaki KLR 650 motorcycles equipped with luggage, protection, and touring accessories. Rentals are primarily self-guided, with optional guided experiences available.

This makes it ideal when your travel plans don’t easily allow you to bring a motorcycle. International visitors find this to be especially convenient. It also makes a great day trip for locals, especially when summer guests arrive. A limited selection of riding gear is available at no additional cost, ensuring a seamless, ready-to-ride experience.

Reliability

Joe’s experience leading adventure rides throughout Baja, Colorado, and Wyoming enables him to advise you on route planning, with rider safety as a priority. He wants all clients to have a great experience from start to finish, whether you want to spend one day on the road or ten. He’s there to answer questions for on-road or off-road travel. Bikes are tracked, so if you are out of cell range and run into problems, he’ll be able to locate you and get you back on the move.

The company focuses on properly prepared, reliable adventure motorcycles built for real-world mountain, highway, and touring conditions. So, if you’ve always wanted to ride the Beartooth Highway or tour through Yellowstone on a motorcycle, this is the year you should make it a reality.

Book your reservations online now for the upcoming 2026 riding season.
