Celebrities for a Cause – The Fun Starts NOW!
This June, over 30 athletes and other celebrities will converge on Cody for a weekend of events to raise funds through Celebrities for a Cause. The impressive lineup of celebrities comes from many arenas, including football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, UFC, and television. Some of the most notable among them are football players Terrell Davis, Ed McCaffrey and WWE wrestler Jake the Snake.
This event has been giving back to the community for four years now. Ryan Brown has headed up this event for the past few years as a way to give back to the community after being a recipient of the generosity of this town. While the events in June will be the highlight, there are local events happening to help boost the total right now.
TONIGHT, you can have fun and help raise funds for the cause at Music Bingo Night at Cody Craft Brewing. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will benefit the Greg Senitte Scholarship and patients at the Big Horn Cancer Center.
APRIL 26 & 27 is the Snowball-Softball Tournament. Put a team together for some spring outdoor fun. Team registration is $225. There will also be a silent auction, raffles, and fun for all. Registration deadline is Friday, April 18, 2025. Contact Ryan Brown at 307-250-2372.
Also, watch their Facebook Page for some great Sports Memorabilia auction items. If you aren’t on Facebook, ask a friend to help you out.
Organizers are also working to bring you a 20-gun raffle with ticket sales beginning in early May and the drawings at the Celebrities in the Park event on June 21, 2025.
It Takes a Village
Cody is known for its generosity and for putting on some great parties while raising funds. And the saying “many hands make for light work” is certainly true. Celebrities for a Cause has room for you to help change the lives of people in the community who are facing a battle with cancer. The patients at Big Horn Cancer Center are the primary beneficiaries of all these parties and events. The funds will go to help them with out-of-pocket expenses while they face their battles.
