Founders’ Day Banquet

The Cody Country Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its legacy with the annual Founders’ Day Banquet on Thursday, November 12th, hosted at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Commemorating the organization’s founding as the original Cody Club in 1900, the evening brings community leaders, local businesses, and residents together for a dinner and featured historical presentation.
Guests will be served a buffet dinner featuring beef tenderloin, parmesan and garlic butter roasted potatoes, roasted broccolini, rolls, and dessert. Following the meal, Dr. Paul Andrew Hutton will present “Why the West Matters,” exploring how westward expansion shaped American Exceptionalism. Dr. Hutton is the Hal and Naoma Tate Endowed Chair and Curator of Western History at the Buffalo Bill Museum, Distinguished Professor of History at the University of New Mexico, and a celebrated cultural and military historian, author, and multi-time winner of both the Spur Award and the Western Heritage Award.
