Cody Youth Climbing Camp

Our Cody Youth Climbing Camp is open to youth of all backgrounds in northwest Wyoming who want to explore the amazing rock climbing resources in their backyard. This educational climbing camp focuses on three main learning objectives: safety, sustainability, and being supportive partners. Safety is our first priority as participants learn the fundamentals of climbing safety systems and technique they climb outdoors west of Cody. Sustainability is also very important as we place great emphasis on teaching Leave No Trace practices to help participants become more sustainable users of this pristine resource. We also work hard to foster a supportive learning environment for participants to feel included, valued, and part of a team that works together. This camp is physically and mentally challenging but highly rewarding as participants learn new skills, explore a beautiful place, and have a lot of fun!

Session 1: June 8-10, 2026
Session 2: July 13-15, 2026
Locations:
Select locations in Shoshone Canyon near Cody, Wyoming
Ages:
9-16 years old
Rate:
$275 ($100 deposit at sign up, remaining balance due two weeks before camp). This includes gratuity for the guides working the camp.
Transportation and logistics:
We do not provide transportation for this camp. We will meet participants in Shoshone Canyon near Cody each day of the camp for drop off and pickup.
Daily schedule:
Drop off in the Cody area will be at 8am and pickup will be at 2pm.
Equipment:
We provide all of the following technical climbing equipment at no extra cost:
– Climbing shoes
– Harness
– Helmet
– Belay device and locking carabiner
We do not provide food, water, backpacks, clothing, or hiking shoes for participants.
Signing up:
We require a $100/participant deposit to reserve your spot in the camp. After reserving your spot you will receive a signup email with all of the necessary forms and logistical information for the camp along with an invoice for the remaining cost of the camp.
