Big Horn Basin Residents Get First Access to Stampede Rodeo Tickets

Feb 6, 2026

As the Stampede Rodeo and Xtreme Bulls become more popular, the difficulty locals face in buying tickets also increases. Based on the feedback received, the Cody Stampede Board has decided to give residents of the Big Horn Basin first access to tickets for the Cody Stampede Rodeo June 30 through July 4, 2026.

Locals Only tickets went on sale on Wednesday this week, and sales will continue through Monday, February 16, 2026. To get your tickets, bring proof of residency in person to the Rodeo Office at 1031 12th Street in downtown Cody.

While there won’t be a discount, the Stampede Board wants to ensure locals have access to this incredibly popular event. With July 3rd and 4th falling on Friday and Saturday this year, and with the celebration of America’s 250th, it is likely the tickets will sell faster than ever.

Prices:

  • June 30 Xtreme Bulls – $40
  • July 1 Cody Stampede Rodeo – $36
  • July 2 Cody Stampede Rodeo – $36
  • July 3 Cody Stampede Rodeo – $40
  • July 4 Cody Stampede Rodeo – $40

Children 2 and under are free.

Tickets to these events will go on sale online on March 2, 2026, to the rest of the world and will cost a bit more to cover processing fees.

Season Passes to the Cody Nite Rodeo will go on sale in May.
