Northwest Civic Orchestra
The Northwest Civic Orchestra will perform its annual holiday concert on Saturday, December 6, in the Nelson Performing Arts Auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $15, tickets for seniors are $10, and children and students are admitted free of charge.
This year’s concert is titled “Christmas Was Made for Children”. The performance will feature pieces from classic holiday staples such as The Nutcracker, The Snowman, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Frozen, The Polar Express, and more. Those attending the concert are also invited to attend a reception after the performance.
The Northwest Civic Orchestra is a community orchestra in Powell that operates under the direction of Maurine Akin. It serves as a platform for both Northwest College musicians and those from other communities to perform classical and popular music for the public. The orchestra combines the talents of students, faculty, and community members, both professional and amateur.
