Meet and Greet for Interested Birders/ Short Talk on Migratory Waterfowl Surveys

Background: Chuck Preston, founding curator of the Draper Natural History Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and board member of the former Meadowlark Audubon group in Cody set up a protocol for migratory waterfowl surveys at Beck and Alkali Lakes, and faithful volunteers have conducted surveys for two decades. Chuck will give a short talk on the history of the survey, and previous participants can share information about our local waterfowl. We hope to connect interested birders of any experience level and engage more volunteers to join in the fall surveys that run once a week beginning in September.
