‘Color Our World’ is this year’s theme for Summer Reading and to celebrate that theme the Powell Library will be hosting an art series for those aged 10 & Up!
At the first 10 & Up Art Series, learn to paint like Alma Woodsey Thomas!
At the age of 75 in 1966, Alma Woodsey Thomas was the first African American women artist to have a solo exhibit of her abstract art in the Whitney Museum of American Art and since then has had her art displayed in the White House three times.
