Raise a Glass with C.J. Box: Celebrate Joe Pickett with Bourbon and Books

Jun 6, 2025

Author and New York Times Bestseller C.J. Box is coming to Cody along with Pine Bluff Distilling for a Bottle and Book signing on Friday, June 13, 2025. The ticketed event at The Chamberlin Inn runs from 4:30 – 9:30 pm. The signing event celebrates the main character of Box’s well-loved series, the honest and principled game warden Joe Pickett, and his enjoyment of bourbon.

Box and Pine Bluffs Distilling partnered to create Pine Bluffs Joe Pickett Bottled in Bond, a limited edition batch of only 1000 bottles. According to the Pine Bluffs Distilling website, Box personally selected the whiskey to embody “the values of Joe Pickett: integrity, resilience, and quiet strength that stands out in a noisy world.”

Sip and Savor

It’s shaping up to be quite a party with the whiskey tasting, signings, and music by Jillian Nordberg (4:30 pm – 6:30 pm) and Aaron Walker (6:30 pm – 8:30 pm). In addition, The Pig and The Hog food truck will serve food in the courtyard, and the bar will be open. Legends Bookstore will be on hand to sell books. Only books purchased at the event will be signed, so please do not bring a book with you. If you plan to come to the event, The Chamberlin asks you to please enter through the garden entrance.

Purchase tickets in advance by calling 307-587-0202 or stopping by. On the night of the event, you can also purchase tickets at the door. Tickets are $20 or $75. The $20 ticket include a whiskey tasting and book or bottle signing. The $75 ticket also includes one of the 1000 bottles of Pine Bluffs Joe Pickett Bottled in Bond. Each attendee gets one item signed. This allows as many people as possible to get their items signed.

A portion of proceeds from the event benefits the Wyoming Hunger Initiative.
