2025 Summer Programs for Kids
With more consistently warmer weather, we can’t help but look forward to summer. To that end, the Cody Journal staff has been working to pull together a list of all the various programs available for kids. If you know of more that should be added here, just send us an email.
Paul Stock Aquatic & Recreation Center
The rec center is gearing up for many summer programs that will keep kids moving and learning. See the full information in the brochure that just came out. You can pick one up at the Rec Center.

There are swim programs galore this summer for kids. Watch for the brochure for details or stop by the rec center.
KIDZ ON THE MOVE Summer Camp | K-5th grade (The youngest must have completed Kdg)
June 2- Aug 15 Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, with no camp on July 4.
Activities include Sports Shorts, Full STEM ahead, Lit is a Hit, Morning Movement, Park Play, Mini Golf, Monday at the Movie, Swimming and more.
Pre-register and use punch cards for camp attendance – punch cards can be shared among siblings.

Cody Center for the Performing Arts
From theatre to gymnastics, dance and cheer camps, the Cody Center for the Performing Arts has a great lineup of summer classes. Some are already sold out, so head over there quickly if this is of interest.
GIGGLE & GROW | Ages 6 mo – 3 yrs
Mondays, June 9 – July 21: 11 – 11:45 am
This is a “caregiver & child” punchcard class. 4 punches for $50 or 6 for $70. Punches can be rolled over.
TUMBLE MONKEYS | Ages 3-4
Mondays, June 9 – July 21: 10 – 10:45 am
Classes introduce young gymnasts to tumbling and body shapes. Classes also emphasize hanging, support, balance, and motor skills. This class utilizes bars, beams, trampoline, and floor. – $75
MINI CHEER CAMP | Ages 6 – 11
Tuesday – Thursday, June 17 – 19: 9 am – Noon
Perfect for cheerleaders in training, this mini camp focuses on traditional cheers and movements while incorporating basic tumbling skills. Campers will get support from the CHS cheer squad as well! – $90
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL CHEER CAMP | Ages 12 – 17
Tuesdays, June 10 – July 22: 2 – 3 pm
Go! Fight! Win! This camp is for Middle School and High Schoolers who want to get a jump on the Fall season. Students will focus on strength training, tumbling, tricks and formations. $80
MINI MOVERS | Ages 3-4
Wednesdays, June 11 – July 23: 10 – 10:45 am
This joyful class is designed to introduce young children to the world of movement and dance. Mini Movers have a blast developing gross motor skills and imagination! Through fun partner and group activities, your little one will learn to cooperate, share, and make new friends. – $75
DANCE JAMZ | Ages 6-11
Wednesdays, June 11 – July 23: 5 – 6 pm
This exciting class is perfect for budding dancers who want to explore a variety of styles including Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Creative Movement. Students will work on flexibility, isolations, leaps, turns, rhythm and creativity. – $80
THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF OZ | Ages 5-8

Follow the Yellow Brick Road! Join your favorite characters from OZ as we tour Munchinkin Land, Shiz University, and the Emerald City! Campers will encounter whimsical characters, embark on exciting adventures, and discover the true meanings of courage, friendship and home. – $90

These classes are for the serious dancer only and acceptance is based on a student’s knowledge both physically and mentally, along with technical foundation. Students must be at least 14 years or older with five years of ballet training. A trial class is required before registration is accepted.

Music, sounds, and nature are all around us; especially in the summertime. This camp will bring these all together with hands on music fun and an introduction to piano.

MUSICIANS THROUGH THE MILLENNIA CAMP | Ages 6-8

Musicians have been around since the beginning of time and this camp will give campers a glimpse of many different musicians from the past to today and the music they gave us. Campers will also learn theory and dabble in composition.
Camp Fee: $95
FORM IN THE ARTS MUSIC CAMP | Ages 9+
June 23-27
Form in the Arts is a composition camp is for students that have had piano instruction and is designed to inspire and equip students to compose their own pieces of music! Students will leave camp knowing how to make a piece of music reflect its title, use motives, organize a piece using a form, and much more. This camp is full of music listening, music making, and music composing. It will also include poetry and art. Snack will be provided.
Camp Fee: $115
SUMMER PIANO LESSONS
Starting June 9th, individual Piano Lessons are limited and available throughout the summer on select days/weeks. Lessons are $30.00 for a lesson and time slots are chosen after registration. Buffalo Bill Center of the West
From fishing, to outdoor adventures, to photography and much more, the Buffalo Bill Center of the West has educational summer programs to keep kids learning and gaining skills. Cody Library
The Cody Library will have many special events in conjunction with their Summer Reading Program. You don’t need to be in the reading program, though, to attend the events!
The focus this year is on the 2025 Kindness Projects. One is to help a local family of a 13-year old who was in an accident. This child will be this summer’s recipient for Compete for a Cause (Aug 2). The other kindness project benefits the Park County Animal Shelter. With this one, kids will be actively involved in shelter directed projects to benefit the animals.

Sessions will run Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 3pm. All materials and supplies provided.
At Art Camp, your kids will gain a deeper understanding of the elements and principles of art while exploring various mediums. ART CAMP helps cultivate creativity! Sessions for kindergarteners through 5th graders introduces skills in the elements and principles of art, and exploration in different techniques and mediums in the Art Lab.
This year we are also offering an Art History session for students in 3rd to 5th grade who have taken Art Camp before. Inspired by the old and contemporary masters, students will experience hands-on learning and creativity.
All Art Camp students from the summer are invited to participate in our 1st annual Art Camp Art Show! Join us on Friday, July 31 in the gallery.

East Side Elementary is hosting Camp Invention again this year.
Inspire your young innovator with a one-of-a-kind summer adventure! Exciting, hands-on challenges will spark curiosity and build their confidence as they dive into limitless STEM fun full of opportunities to imagine, experiment and create.
