Good evening. A special use permit, a first season in the books, and an auction that kept going despite a power outage.
First, the tanks were already in the ground when the Planning and Zoning Board voted on the airport fuel station. That was legal, and it is also why two board members voted no.
Next, the Cody to Chicago route closed its inaugural season with 1,740 passengers and a fuel bill nobody forecast. United wants to talk about 2027 before November. Other discussions are also in the works.
And, the power went out in the middle of the Buffalo Bill Art Show live auction. The paddles kept moving and the pieces with the highest bids have been announced.
Also this week: Wyoming PBS brings its award-winning dude ranching documentary to the Cody Theatre on October 6, free and open to everyone. And the governor is taking applications for the Wyoming Main Street Advisory Board.
MONDAY: Monday nights continue to be a bit shy on events. This week we've found four: Yoga Night at the Chamberlin, Bingo Night at Grape & Grain, Brad Stine Comedy Show at Wynonna Thompson Aud., and democrats, Lisa Kinney & James Byrd will be at the Cody Library for a meet and greet.
TUESDAY: Head to Grape & Grain for Tasting Tuesdays to try something new. Over at Steph's Kitchen, there will be a Sip & Paint, and over at the library in Powell, Four Shilling Short will hold A Celebration of Ireland Concert.
WEDNESDAY: Winter classes are starting up at CodyArts with Fern Bath's popular class, Anything Goes Watercolor. There's also a Watercolor Series happening at the Meeteetse Senior Center. The Cody Coin Collectors Meeting will host a special guest, Lawrence Lee, who will give an overview of the Indian Peace Medals at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. BBCW hired him to appraise the medals and will give a short presentation. The Fence and Beyond will have a Thai Dinner, but I've not heard if tickets are still available.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
