Happy Wednesday, Journal Tribe!

And happy Homecoming Week!

THURSDAY: Devon Jewelers wraps up their Anniversary Celebration today and Friday this week. in the evening, Cody Heritage Museum Open House will have light refreshments, silent auction and raffle items and a talk about Smokey, the first platinum fox born in Cody. If you're curious about the Specific Purpose Tax on the ballot in November for the Cody Auditorium, Powell's Senior Center and Meeteetse items - head to the Cody Library where all three will be discussed. It's a great chance to ask questions - big one seems to be "Why not tear down the auditorium?" (One part of that answer: asbestos remediation will cost more to tear down than fix). Stop by and ask your questions.

FRIDAY: Head downtown in the afternoon at 2:30 to support the Broncs with the Homecoming Parade. Followed by the showdown with Jackson for the Homecoming Game at 5:00. Plaza Diane in Powell will host a Silversmithing Workshop Friday and Saturday, and the Barnstorming Tour of America Free Concert will stop for a concert in Clark.

SATURDAY: In the morning, the Absaroka Fence Initiative Fence Modification happens out in Oregon Basin to celebrate Public Lands Day. Throughout the day, the Cody Library will be Live-Streaming the Jackson Book Festival. Cul-De-Sac Cowboys Party in the Park runs all afternoon with lots of great music happening. The Meeteetse Museum will hold a Tracing Tales on the Overland Trails; Tips on Researching Pioneer Heritage session. Over in Powell, An Evening of Community and Patriotism happens at the fairgrounds, and the annual FOAL Fundraiser, Mustang Rendezvous happens at the Holiday Inn.

SUNDAY: There's a hike by the Buffalo Bill Center of the West: Trailing the Buffalo: Buffalo Bill & Cedar Mountain. In addition to the many brunches, there's a Public Skate session at Riley arena, and over in Powell, you can Meet the Candidates: Lisa Kinney & James Byrd.

Enjoy your weekend!
