Happy Wednesday, Journal Tribe!

And Happy Fourth of July! I am amazed at this town. The sheer number of events year-round shows how deeply connected we are. This core value of community seems to culminate this week of the Fourth. I'm so proud of the work my team and I do to showcase the events that are the glue of our town.

Over the six days of celebrations, there are more than 50 special holiday events. This week, if we added in all the events that happen every day, there would be almost 190 events. Each one of those events has people working behind the scenes to make them happen. This is an amazing town that shines its brightest on the Fourth of July.

One event not yet added is the Dreamland Carnival that appeared yesterday in the old Walmart building parking lot. I hear they will be here from the 2nd - 4th. No times or other info found yet.

Since there's too much to list out by day for this newsletter, scroll down for the list with individual links, or head to the insert in this week's printed flyers as a PDF.

Have a safe and enjoyable time celebrating America's 250th!

This necessary maintenance will have significant short-term impacts on fish populations, though the project is anticipated to provide long-term benefits for the reservoir’s fishery. GVID, which manages water levels for irrigation, plans to draft the …
