This two-and-a-half-day educational workshop provides intermediate to advanced painters personalized instruction and fellowship with returning Buffalo Bill Art Show artist\, Michael Ome Untiedt.\nBorn and raised in rural southeastern Colorado\, Michael Ome Untiedt maintains a studio in Denver. Visiting various locations\, studies the history\, stories and mythologies of the people living in the area and then incorporates this into imagery that a twenty first century psychology can identify with. Through the color\, brush strokes\, and symbolic subject matter of his paintings\, he attempts to examine the human predicament and its connections to legacy and heritage. DESCRIPTION:Join Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale artist\, Michael Ome Untiedt\, for Painting on the Porch! This two-and-a-half-day educational workshop provides intermediate to advanced painters personalized instruction and fellowship with returning Buffalo Bill Art Show artist\, Michael Ome Untiedt.\nBorn and raised in rural southeastern Colorado\, Michael Ome Untiedt maintains a studio in Denver. Visiting various locations\, studies the history\, stories and mythologies of the people living in the area and then incorporates this into imagery that a twenty first century psychology can identify with. Through the color\, brush strokes\, and symbolic subject matter of his paintings\, he attempts to examine the human predicament and its connections to legacy and heritage. Michael has participated in numerous shows including the Eiteljorg Museums\, Quest for the West\, The Russell Art Show & Sale\, Settlers West Miniatures Show and Great American West Show\, Western Masters Art Show & Auction\, The Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale\, Briscoe Museums Night of Artists\, and the Masters in Montana. \nWorkshop includes breakfast\, lunch\, and instruction. This educational class provides beginner to advanced artists personalized instruction and fellowship with returning BBAS artist\, Sally Maxwell.\nSally has been working in Scratchboard for over 58 years\, 53 of those using color in the medium. The International Society of Scratchboard Artists as well as the American Women Artists have recognized her as a Master. She is also a Signature member of the Society of Animal Artists. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of AWA in 2024. She has won numerous awards in multiple Museum and juried art shows nationally. Recently she won the Award of Excellence in the AWA annual show\, and was the highest priced bid at BBAS for “Nuance” in 2024. Through her close association with Ampersand Art Materials\, she has taught a generation of artists how to use the medium. Currently her artwork was featured in the Society of Animal Artists show in 2024 and will be again in 2025. She will be shown in the annual juried show with AWA for 2025 as well. She was shown in the Briscoe Museum’s show “Night of Artists” this year. Once you have seen her work up close\, you will never forget it. \nReservations Required.
