SUMMARY:Kids Fishing Day and Derby
DESCRIPTION:The Kids Fishing Day in Cody is jointly sponsored by East Yellowstone Trout Unlimited (EYTU)\, The Optimists\, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD)\, and the Shoshone National Forest. Since its inception in 1989\, this event has grown to host over 300 participants ages 2-14 annually at no cost. It is held on the first Saturday in June to coincide with the WGFD statewide free fishing day.\nEach participant receives a fishing pole\, tackle\, and lunch for free. We also award prizes for the top three fish across 10 species\, alongside raffle prizes of fishing equipment\, a grand prize inflatable kayak\, and a Lifetime WGFD conservation stamp. \nCody Journal advertisers make this calendar possible. \n
