50th Anniversary of Jeremiah Johnston’s reburial at Trail Town
On June 8, 1974, at 2:00pm, the remains of Jeremiah “Liver-Eating” Johnston were reinterred at Old Trail Town.
This was the culmination of a project begun in the fall of 1973 by a 7th grade American Literature class and their teacher from Park View Junior High School in Lancaster, CA.
Now, fifty years later, on June 8, 2024, at 2:00pm, we will commemorate Johnston’s reburial and honor those who made it happen.
Old Trail Town will remain open for business during the ceremony.
